| Implant supported restorations have become the
state of the art for replacing lost teeth. Tiny titanium screws serve
as artificial roots to support replacement teeth. As few as 2 implants
can be used to anchor a complete denture providing comfort, function
and stability. Implant supported restorations can be removable or
permanently attached depending on your conditions and preferences. |
| You can't get a cavity in an implant and they are
proving to be minimally affected by gum disease so implant supported
restorations may, in some ways, be better than natural teeth! |
| The latest technique in implants are called
Mini-Implants. They can be placed without an incision and can be loaded
immediately and for about half the cost of conventional implants. The
blue bordered picture above shows a lower jaw with 4 mini-implants and
a denture with rubber o-rings that snap onto the implants for stability
and retention. Link to the Intec
Mini-Implant site for more information on this new denture
stablization prcedure. |
