Implantology
Implant supported restorations have become the state of the art for replacing lost teeth. Tiny titanium screws serve as artificial roots to support replacement teeth. As few as two implants can be used to anchor a complete denture providing comfort, function and stability. Implant supported restorations can be removable or permanently attached depending on your conditions and preferences.
You can't get a cavity in an implant and they are proving to be minimally affected by gum disease so, implant supported restorations may, in some ways, be better than natural teeth!
The latest technique in implants is called Mini-Implants. The can be placed without an incision and can be loaded immediately all for about half the price of conventional implants. The picture to the right shows a lower jaw with four Mini-Implants and a denture with rubber o-rings that snap onto the implants for stability and retention.
